Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn FTW
I hope Noam Chomsky is going to stay around for another 20 years to come. The world needs people like him and Zinn.

Hopefully Chomsky can last that long, in 20 years he'll be...101 !

Howard Zinn was the Eugene Debs of his day. Eugene Debs was a founder of the Industrial Workers of the World that fought for union rights. He became much more known half a century after his death, and same will happen to Howard Zinn. People will look back and acknowledge his significance.

People like him, Chomsky, and others, are significant in that they help shape the minds of the future leaders and activists.

@Chomskyan
Nobody can replace Howard Zinn but you are another rare outstanding person and voice, Pres Obama should consider his closes advisor!
The Obama Difference, By Howard Zinn, The Progressive, October 2008
"It seems that Barack Obama and John McCain are arguing over which war to fight. McCain says: Keep the troops in Iraq until we win. Obama says: Withdraw some (not all) troops from Iraq and send them to fight and win in Afghanistan.

@Chomskyan
"So, yes, I will vote for Obama, because the corrupt political system offers me no choice, but only for the moment I pull down the lever in the voting booth.
Before and after that moment I want to use whatever energy I have to push him toward a recognition that he must defy the traditional thinkers and corporate interests surrounding him, and pay homage to the millions of Americans who want real change.

@Chomskyan
"One more clarification. My lessons from history about the futility of winning should not be understood as meaning that what is wrong with our policy in Iraq is that we cant win. Its not that we cant win. Its that we shouldnt win, because its not our country." May your legacy be heard loud and clear, like the voices of many of those with heart-earned wisdom, leaders in the world like to quote, but lack walking their talks and living their values!!
